Sim van der Linde
Sim van der Linde is Project Director Renewable Energy at Royal DSM. He has been with the company since 1986 and had responsibilities for laboratory operations, commercial policies for natural gas, business intelligence, business development, secretary-general of a branch organization, purchasing improvements, diverse projects and sourcing of energy prior to assuming his present role.
Sim has worked on sustainable heat while his current focus is to significantly increase the use of renewable electricity and reduce the carbon footprint of DSM.
Andrea Grotzke
Andrea leads BayWa r.e.'s Energy Solutions unit, which focusses on tailor-made renewable energy solutions for corporates. Examples include off-site and on-site solar and wind generation, storage applications or e-mobility concepts, as well as operation and maintenance services. During her 16 years in the renewable energy business, Andrea's focus has been mainly on project finance and PPA structuring. Before joining BayWa r.e. in 2011 she held positions at Triodos Bank and at Solon Investments.
Frank Gordon
Frank has held a range of posts in central Government and the energy sector in the UK. He holds a Master’s degree in Climate Change and is currently Head of Policy at the REA as well as having a particular focus on energy storage, large scale power, and grid networks. Frank is a member of numerous energy storage Governmental panels and steering groups.
The REA represents renewable electricity, heat and transport, as well as recycling, Electric Vehicle companies and Energy Storage. Members encompass investors, generators, project developers, fuel and power suppliers, equipment producers and service providers. Members range in size from major multinationals to sole traders. There are around 550 corporate members of the REA, making it the largest renewable energy & clean tech trade body in the UK.
Laughlan Waterston
Laughlan Waterston is co-head of energy & natural resources finance at SMBC with responsibility for energy/natural resources financing in the EMEA region. Laughlan has 20 years experience in banking with more than 15 years experience of project and structured finance. He has experience on a wide variety of projects in the energy and infrastructure sector including conventional power, renewable energy, waste to energy, oil& gas, utilities, metals, mining and social infrastructure. His roles include MLA lending, LP investments, debt capital markets and financial advisory.
Domenico Tripodi
Domenico is an Investment Director and is responsible for sourcing and executing investments. Since Domenico joined AIP in 2017, he has assisted with the acquisition of Walney Extension offshore wind farm and has been responsible for the Blakliden and Faborberget onshore wind farms (“Blafa”) acquisition.
Prior to joining AIP, Domenico spent 2 years at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners as an investment manager in the transaction team where he played a key role in the investments into Veja Mate and Beatrice offshore wind farms. Before joining Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Domenico spent 3 years at DONG Energy Wind Power – initially as senior investment analyst in the investment analysis and valuation unit and hereafter as part of the management team of the EPC organizations responsible for constructing Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm. Domenico started his career at Vestas, where he was part of the Graduate Programme before joining the EMEA Structured Finance team.
Domenico is a CFA chartholder and holds a M.Sc. in Finance and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School.
Domenico is on the Board of Directors for Walney Extension and Blafa wind farms.
